JUNK-A-SAURUS๐ HomeJunk-A-Saurus, also spelled Junk A Saurus or Junkasaurus. Is a locally owned junk removal company based in Draper, Utah, serving the entire Salt Lake & Utah Valley. Whatever spelling you searched to find us, you're in the right place. ๐ฆ
We do the heavy lifting so you don't have to. From a single couch to a full estate cleanout, our crew shows up on time, hauls it all, and sweeps up after. With upfront, no-surprise pricing and a free quote in minutes.
Junk-A-Saurus was founded by Mason Slavens and Landon Bethers, two locals who wanted junk removal in the Salt Lake & Utah Valley to feel easy, honest, and genuinely fast. They still run the crew themselves. So when you book, you're dealing directly with the owners, not a call center. That hands-on approach is why every job comes with a straight-up quote before we start, careful work inside your home, and a clean sweep before we pull away. We treat your driveway, your floors, and your time the way we'd want ours treated.
Junk-A-Saurus serves Draper, Sandy, South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, Lehi, Midvale, Murray, West Jordan and the rest of the Salt Lake & Utah valleys.
Junk removal is priced by how much room your load takes up in our 8ft × 10ft × 4ft dump trailer — a quarter, a half, three quarters or a full load — with no minimum charge. Heavy, dense material like concrete, soil, brick and tile is priced by weight instead, because it costs more to tip than it takes up in space. Stairs, long carries, anything that has to be dismantled first, and special items such as fridges, mattresses, hot tubs and pianos all factor in.
You get the number before we lift anything, and it does not change once the trailer is half full. There is never a charge for quoting, and a photo texted to 801-516-9569 is usually enough for an exact price without anyone driving out.
A trailer is not one thing, so it does not have one destination. Furniture, housewares and building materials still in usable shape go to Deseret Industries, Savers or a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Metal goes to a scrap recycler. Electronics, appliances and cardboard each have their own route. Only what is genuinely broken, soiled or unsellable ends up at a landfill.
The single biggest reason usable furniture gets thrown away is that nobody mentioned it still works. Point at it and it goes to donation.
For legal and safety reasons, a few things cannot go in a standard load: wet paint, stains and solvents; motor oil, fuels and automotive fluids; propane tanks and pressurised cylinders; asbestos and asbestos-containing material; medical or biohazard waste; ammunition and explosives; and most household chemicals and pesticides.
These are not company policy — landfills refuse loads containing them, so every legitimate hauler in Utah has the same list. Salt Lake County residents can drop all of the above off free at the county Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center, 8805 South 700 West in Sandy, (385) 468-4380, Monday to Saturday. Ammunition and fireworks go to your local fire department.
Fridges, freezers and AC units we can take — the refrigerant just has to be professionally recovered first, so mention them when you book.
The phones are on 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. A 6am call and a midnight call both reach a person. Late and early pickups are ordinary bookings here, not surcharged emergencies — which matters when a rental has to be cleared before a morning inspection or a tenant hands keys back on a Sunday.
